THIS IS NOT A HURRICANE SANDY BOAT! - I WILL SIGN AN AFFIDAVIT TO THAT EFFECT - MANY ARE ON EBAY - CLEAN TITLE IN HAND'BUY IT NOW' Price will be discounted by $2,000.00 if on your trailer!!!! - $13,600.00 - We can swap trailers 5 minutes awayHere is the story... I retired 3 years ago to Florida and purchased the vessel 'Big Hooker' (Golf/Fishing) from Portland Marine in Maine. The boat was owned by a Coast Guard Auxiliary Officer, and well maintained, not abused. The vessel was used seasonally in Maine, winterized and dry stored during the off-season. My intention was to update and customize for myself/family as a weekender/Offshore fishing machine with occasional trips to West End, Bimini, Keys, etc. It was to be my mini-sportfisher... given the closed transom design! The motors sat for @ 1 year before I purchased so I completely replaced with new Mercury Carbs. They crank quickly, smoothly and the compression is excellent across all cylinders. She will run 50+ mph, will burn a lot of gas with the 2.5L carbureted, but inexpensive cost of maintenance, repair and availability of parts - even with the gas usage - the price for 4-strokes didn't make a lot of $ense to me. Now...If you were to buy, and you replaced with 4-strokes, Or Opti's you would have the ultimate rig, for < $50,000.00. Anywho, I had a friend that that had a life issue and needed to sell his boat. I bought a 2003 25' BW Conquest and am using that right now. I have to tell you, they both say 25' - but the GW is heads and shoulders a better built, larger beam, longer LOA, with a comparable ride... (and it's 30+ years young). So, now you know the whole story, someone is going to get a great project, with little to put back together & finish - ready to be customized, now weight reduced, to your specs... Estimated 20 hours to start fishing... Most of the pictures above are pre-project, so you can see how good the condition was BEFORE I started replacing the key systems. I will be updating with more pictures so you can see where it is in the process.Think about it... You and 3 buddies could split this, for $3,900.00 each, and timeshare it... 1 weekend a month each - or, if you like each other...fish every weekend together. Where can you find a capable offshore mini-sportfisher to use for 1 weekend a month for $3,900.00?????? 1 Serious Offshore Guided Full-Day trip will run you $1,000 - $2,000 Plus 20% Gratuity for a 10 hour trip... Just something to think about.Too much to list but I'll try...Fully enclosed transom, transom bracket, Twin 1993 Mercury Offshore 2.5L Motors (Absolutely reliable - Brand new carbs - perfect compression - less than 900 hours, mostly trolling) Updated Dual Fuel Tanks, Coal-Tar Epoxy Coated, they will last longer than you will. All new fuel tank supports, 1708 & Cedar, Refinished Lee Outriggers Color Matched, All new through-hulls & Scupper assemblies - stainless below the water-line, All New Fuel Lines, Vent Hoses, All New Wiring, tinned, New Console Control Panel with Switches, New Sea Star Hydraulic Steering, New cockpit window vinyl screw covers, Brand New Racor Filters, Brand new Y-Valve for washdown/livewell, All pumps working - 2 bilge (forward & Aft) Rear livewell/washdown and freshwater forward, Battery Switch, Radar Arch w/ rocket launchers, Re-cored cockpit hatches, No soft spots, Extra reinforced transom, New Clear Lexan Front Cabin Windows, Brand New Marine Grade Carpet for Cabin to install - Cabin has been stripped and prepared to re-do. All old 'cat fur carpet' removed Hydraulic Trim Tabs with New Switches, HUGE Cabin - simplified for Eat, Sleep, Fish... Sleeps 3 comfortably, Cabin Cushions, Middle Grounds and Gulf Stream Capable, Bahamas a No-brainer, Compare to 'NEW' 25' Walkarounds - used for that matter - this fishes like a 30'+ boat, completely overbuilt. Custom Fit Venture Aluminum Double Axle Trailer included - Newer Tires, Alloy Wheels, good Bearings - Hull is in EXCELLENT condition for age - buffs out way better than newer boats - thick gelcoat. Large anchor locker, tons of storage, Raymarine Radar Dome + Cables + C Series Head Unit, VHF, Raymarine C70 Fish finder Head Unit, more I know I'm missing... I'm not going to kid you, there is still work to be done reassembling, buffing etc & you may choose to use starboard to replace some of the original bulkheads, etc. I have the originals and they are not in bad shape, I just havn't upgraded them yet. To completely update with 1/2" seafoam (Grady White match) starboard - I got a quote - custom CNC to match will run @ $500 - That includes the aft cockpit and the bulkheads on either side of the cabin door. This was my next purchase, but the originals are still in 98% solid shape and can easily be reinstalled. I have ALL stainless parts, fasteners, that were removed originally, and will be included. I will be taking more pictures of how it has been stripped down for easy access for completing the project. You will want to add your new electronics, that is a personal preference. I can tell you this - take a GOOD look at all of the Grady's for sale from this vintage - if you are considering ANYTHING other than an ENCLOSED FULL TRANSOM, run...don't walk away - you are just asking for trouble...Nearly $20,000.00 invested so far.Possible Partial Trades for High Quality Home DefenseThank you for looking!
