Description
Condition: Used Year: 1972
Make: Aquarius

Location: Lowell, MichiganReady to sail! Insert the drain plug, load with your stuff, drive to the lake, step the mast, put her in the water, and sail. The Aquarius 23 is a sturdy, fiberglass fractional sloop with a centerboard as well as permanent ballast in a shallow ridge at the base of her hull (a "skiff keel"). She is designed to self-right with the centerboard raised (an important safety factor), unlike many other trailer-able sailboats of similar size. Yet, she still maintains the shallow draft of a centerboard design. With a displacement of 2280lbs, The A23 remains simple to trailer and tow, while roomy and seaworthy enough to take on light cruising. Includes 4 sails: Mainsail, jib, spinnaker, and genoa. Steppable mast. Swim ladder, spinnaker pole. New tiller, new curtains, new jib and main halyards, new Formica counter top in galley, interior painted, new mast head light, all new running and anchor lights, interior seat cushions recovered in 2013. 2 solar-powered vents on sailboat added in 2014. New submersible trailer lights, trailer winch, new trailer hull runners and winch in 2014.  You can see a copy of the original brochre at: aquarius23.net/a23-brochure.pdf
