I had this boat listed for sale last year at the end of the summer. I stored her for the winter, and now I am putting her up for sale again.
1975 Vandestadt McGruer Siren 17 - "Happy Days"
The boat is still in good condition for her age, even with normal wear and tear that one would expect to see on a 1975 vessel. Many parts are much newer, as I had originally planned on restoring this boat completely, but I don't have the time or the space so I need to sell her. I learned to sail on this boat, she is very easy to sail even in a light breeze.
Includes 2 sails and rigging, dock fenders/bumpers, anchor, 2 chidren's lifejackets (PFDs), the motor and gas tank, the trailer.
Technical data for the boat is available on the web, as are many videos on Youtube. There is a very active support group for these vessels on Yahoo, which can offer all the support and advice one would need for these specific boats.1986 Evinrude E4BRHCDE 4hp 2-cycle outboard engine included. Runs fine.Functional Trailer with new tires and leaf springs, recently greased bearings.P.S. In November I towed the boat 150 miles away to store her for the winter free of cost, so yes the trailer is road-worthy.Call me with any questions 631-388-2463
