Overview Lovely fully fitted LuxeMotor, moored at Briare, France (approx 150km. South of Paris). A very pretty and interesting town with all amenities you would require and makes an ideal base to explore the fantastic and beautiful French canal network. Otium is of riveted steel hull, circa 1930's. She was converted for cruising by Friesland Boats around 1994/5. Otium has just had the exterior totally repainted spring 2014 and Otium was lifted out of the water, anti-fouled and new anodes installed in August 2013. The interior has been updated by the present owner from 2006 on. The boat comes with everything you need to cruise, see specifications and equipment list below, charts, maps and flags are even included so you can get motoring straight away. She has three cabins, all of which can sleep two.  Two cabins are to the fore with a toilet, shower and washbasin between. The rear cabin has facility to sleep three with its own shower/toilet etc. The saloon has a fully fitted American kitchen. Half size washing machine and tumble drier in the forepeak. Hydraulic steering fitted in 2011 by Mark Vardey on Canal du Centre which makes her very easy to handle. Otium is fitted with a DAF 575 100hp Keel cooled engine and this engine has worked consistently without problems. We just change the oil now and again and the injectors have been reconditioned. The wheel-house can folded down for low bridges and both fore and aft decks can be used used as entertaining areas and we used to have garden furniture on the fore deck above the saloon. We have hardly used her for the last 2 years but she has given us 8 years of great and trouble free pleasure (only 1 broken fanbelt!) We bought her as complete novices and had little trouble learning to handle her, with the hydraulic steering it is now very easy to manoeuvre her. We are sad to part with her but we are no longer able to use her due to medical reasons. She would be a great family boat, shared ownership holiday boat or equally a lovely home for 2 or more. Any questions please contacts us and we will respond immediately.
