Hi and thanks for looking at my ad for this Driver 440 speedboat for sale.  My thanks to rod.m0 for identifying the boat!As you can see from the pictures, it is a project but it's also something that could be done by a competent DIY'er and won't need specialist knowledge.  There is no engine but it is set up for an outboard so any longshaft outboard would fit and something like a 50hp would make the boat very fast and fun and would perfectly suit the boat.  The interior is the bit that needs the most work but a lot of what is already there will be good for templates.
The good news is that the mooring and / or storage within the boatyard is included in the auction and every pound you bid for the boat over the starting price of £50 will also give you more free storage, up to a maximum of 6 months, and you get ONE MONTH FREE of charge anyway.  For example, the storage cost per calender month for this boat is normally £88, so if you were to bid and win the boat for only £226, you could keep the boat here for THREE MONTHS FREE OF CHARGE.  If you bid and win for £490, you can keep the boat here for SIX MONTHS FREE OF CHARGE.  It means you can bid in confidence knowing that you aren't going to be stuck with additional costs.  Obviously if you wanted to take the boat away you would be able to do that too and you'd also be welcome to keep the boat in the boatyard after the free mooring period subject to our standard mooring charge.  There are plenty of people here who can help with advice and everyone is welcome.
The storage / mooring is in an ideal location in Egham / Old Windsor on the River Thames; the town centre is only a short walk away and has a full range of banks, shops, launderette, pubs and restaurants.  It also boasts a mainline station running into London Waterloo including stops at Clapham Junction.  The boatyard is small and friendly and everyone is welcome and the boat can be viewed there.14ft speedboat - Driver 440Attractive lines and looks like it would be fast in the waterRequires a longshaft outboard and something like a 50hp would be a great fit

You are welcome to come and see the boat and look her over, so please feel free to give me, Richard, a call on 07958 792122, and ask any questions or to arrange a viewing.  Alternatively, you can just turn up and look around as the boat is in a boatyard on the Thames; Bell Weir Boats Ltd, Yard Mead, Egham, Surrey, TW20 0AA.  Cash, Cheque, Banker's Draft or Bank Transfer is required for payment, and the payment will have to clear before you can use or take the boat.  The boatyard welcomes DIY boaters and also has a full range of professional services on hand.  I can also help with delivery if needed but you are more than welcome to continue with the mooring / storage in the boatyard. Please feel free to email, phone or visit.
