The Caprice 19 is an ideal starter boat for family cruising. It has 2 single berths and 1 double berth. It has a sink and a twin hob stove.'Whimwham' could use some TLC in a few areas as you would expect for a 37 year old boat, but nothing that couldn't wait until the end of the season - since she is generally in pretty good condition as you can see from the photos. She has a Mariner 4hp longshaft outboard, new in 2006 - serviced in March 2015. This is worth approximately £400The leisure battery was new in 2013.Whimwham is currently on a private pontoon near Faversham. I can be fairly flexible over viewings - and I would strongly advise anyone to view a boat before buying. Again. please email to make an arrangement.A few points be aware of;1. the forehatch has had some recent damage when it flew open during a gale (see picture) - this has a temporary fix and will need mending.2. the wooden edging needs a new coat of paint 3. she could do with a good clean up on the hull4. The bilge pump has stopped working and ought to be addressed - but overall she's a pretty dry boat so this hasn't been a worry for me.Key measurements and a list of equipment follows;Length: 19'Beam: 6’3Draft: 2’6” (Bilge keels)1 double berth and 2 quarter berths Sink with new Whale hand pump tapDouble hob cooking and toasting trayEcho sounder - old but serviceableFire extinguisherWarpsFendersOld lifebuoyboathook1x mainsail – slab reefing, not new but in reasonable condition1x foresail, not new but in reasonable condition1 x genoa, 1 x stormsail both good conditionStanding rigging included baby-stay and dual forestaysAnchorWindexNav lights - port and starboard recently replaced.
