BAVARIA 42 Layla of Southampton is an excellent example of the popular Bavaria 42 Caribic launched in 1989. With her heavy displacement and strong build she is a very capable long range cruising yacht. Not to be confused with later Bavarias that experienced some build quality issues in the mid-2000’s, this robust yacht is highly regarded for her excellent all-weather sailing abilities.Part 1 Registered & Category 2 Coded for 10 persons. Layla has been both a leisure yacht and sail training vessel for the last 5 years in Palma de Mallorca. She is in daily use as both a trainer for professional yacht captains and a leisure vessel. She sails beautifully and is a very seaworthy boat.In recent years she has been in use by a small RYA (Royal Yachting Association) training centre in Palma de Mallorca where her main role is as a training platform for professional standard sailors.
