Many thanks.Very large and spacious 38ft x 20ft catamaran houseboat / living space / holiday home / studioThis was originally a wooden sailing catamaran, but has been lived on as a houseboat for the past decade or so. Its recently undergone a lot of work to turn into a much bigger and more usable living space but having the large 30ft x 16ft insulated structure on top with double glazed windows and two french doors in the front leading onto the foredeck. The original hulls which were wooden, but have been fully sheaved in fibreglass and a lot of money has been spent doing this to prolong the life of the boat. It has not been back in the water since and stored on land at a boat yard in South Wales.It is an unfinished project with lots of potential. Very well insulated and light and airy living space which could easily accommodate a one or two bedroom flat. It could even be built up with another floor, or use the roof as a large sun terrace or garden.The building structure on the top is very well made, warm and dry. The flooring is very solid and the fibreglass outer hulls are in very good order, but the inside of the hulls do need work. Much of the wood could do with being removed and new bulkheads to be fitted. It has a steel spaceframe which is in good order keeping the hull strong, but new woodwork spanning the framework and offering support to the outer fibreglass would be beneficial if its going back out to sea. Or could be fully filled with foam as a quicker easier option.The intention was just for it to be kept as a static houseboat in the marina before the project was abandoned.It would be an ideal project for a carpenter/joiner. Somebody who's handy with woodwork.I can be kept out of the water where it is currently laying in a very picturesque marina in Pembrokeshire for approx £50 per week including water and electric etc, or lifted back into the water and put on a mooring.You are bidding to buy this boat, not to view.
