Description
Country/Region of Manufacture: | United Kingdom |
THE BOAT: This is a heavy duty fibre glass Yorkshire cobble style boat with oak wood work and clinker effect hull. Length is approx. 5.0 metres, the beam is approx. 1.75 metres at its widest point. It is built for the sea but is also very suitable for rivers or lakes. It has spent a great deal of its life on rivers. It is solid, no rot/osmosis no leaks. It sits very well on the water, it handles very well and is very stable. It has x 3 keels, a long center keel and 2 shorter side keels, so can be beached if required. It is a very attractive and safe boat which can be used for work/leisure/club boat/recovery boat. It has been well looked after and cared for. The hull has been regularly anti fouled with high quality anti foul it has had a fresh coat this year. The visible hull was rubbed down last year, it was undercoated with professional quality fibre glass paint and over painted with the same quality fibre glass paint in British Racing Green x 4 coats. It has good solid deck cleats and solid tags for securing fenders x 4 each side. It has given my family a great of pleasure over the years for family trips on the river Thames. I have also used it to take mates out on fresh water fishing trips. THE ENGINE: Honda BF15 LHU (long shaft) 4 stroke engine. Purchased new in late 2014, it has done approximately 14 hours (recorded) and is barely run in. It is immaculate, I did not get out much last year due to work commitments hence low usage. It has been flushed after every use and is dry stored in my boat clubs engine room and never left out on the boat. Very reliable easy to use and start engine. I have all the documentation, tool kit, kill switch, spare pull cord and charging cable attachments with it. THE TRAILER: The trailer is bespoke to the boat, all the rollers are new and are fitted perfectly for launching and recovery. It has new stub axles, bearings, wheels and winch. However it does not have suspension so cannot be taken far on the road. It was built as a launching trailer. It can easily be transported by piggy back onto another trailer/car transporter. It would be a shame not to keep this trailer due to its bespoke design. However if you wish to use your own trailer then it would be easy to put the boat into the river and recover onto another trailer. A road axle could easily be fitted but I do not have time to make one at the moment. EXTRAS: Anchor with chain and rope, x 2 good quality oars and rowlocks, some ropes, x 4 large fenders (2 new) Spare paint for touch ups. It is priced to sell. It is a bargain, the engine alone is a gift. I am not desperate to sell but would like the space back at the club for my other boat which now sits on my drive. These type of boats do not come up very often, they have character and will always be desirable, very strong very durable. The kids are all grown up now and have moved into London. We have acquired a much smaller boat which will be fine for lunch trips and a bit of fishing. It is kept at my boat club in Thames Ditton on the river Thames, not far from the A3 and M25. I live close by the club, in the KT10 area of Surrey. Sorry about the long winded script but some people do not put very much so I have tried to give as much information as possible. Viewings and any inspection welcome. I am open to negotiations on either the boat, boat & engine or the engine. A 200 deposit via pay pal please with balance on collection. It is advertised elsewhere so reserve the right to remove from listing. Regards, Martin 07925337524. Any inquires please send message saying BOAT and I will call you back, I get a high volume of calls with my business and this will ensure I get back to you. |
