(40ft x 13ft x 5.5ft).
Ferro hull with a fibreglass foam sandwich deck and fibreglass cockpit and is built to such a high standard
it is hard to tell that she is a ferro vessel.  Dry weight 14 tonnes, 2x150 litre fuel tanks, 1x200 litre water tank.
This is a very sound, comfortable yacht with more room and storage space below than most 12m yachts.
Roomy proven long distance cruiser and comfortable live-aboard. SSR registration lapsed but can renew.
She crossed the Atlantic in the mid 80's, toured the east coast of the USA, saw the Carribean and even got
involved in a bit of smuggling.  Sailed back to the UK in 1995 and was bought by an East Anglian Sailing
School who got her RYA coded (1996 - 2003),  had the Iveco engine installed and did some upgrading.CENTRE-COCKPIT -
Self draining, with seacock. Seat 6 plus fixed Helm seat. Cockpit table (needs minor repair).
Fully enclosed, windowed, roll-up or drop-down canopy and spray-shield. Spray-dodgers (2).
Lewmar 48 2-sp self tailing winches (2) for the Genoa (2006).

Plastimo compass and single-lever engine-control at wheel.

Factory recon Iveco Aifo (Perkins) 8041 M109 3.9L 80hp marine inboard diesel engine. (1996).
Have warranty and handbook but no receipt as it's in the Sailing School's accounts.
Powerful engine. Reliable and starts immediately.  5 knots @ 1500rpm (max 4000rpm).
The engine is under the floor, so below the waterline assisting balance. Accessed by 1sq.m hatch at the
bottom of the steps from the cockpit.
There are 2 x 150L steel fuel tanks under the saloon floor. 1 is nearly full with clean red diesel. The other
is empty and switched off. I have not investigated.NAV STATION -
Large, desk-style with storage, bench seat.  Instruments: GPS,  Depth,  Radar,  Navtex,  Icom VHF.
Underneath are the yacht's electrics and batteries.SALOON -
Big fixed table 1m x 80cm + 45cm flap in gangway (seat 8). 1.93m slab cushions port and starb'd (berths).
Taylors diesel heater (worked well, now de-sooted and overhauled.  New parts bought - need fitting).
Big hatch for daylight which now doesn't open, but there is a good used opening hatch to replace it, which
needs fitting.  Barometer, Thermometer & Clock display over bookshelf.  Huge storage under seats. BERTHS - 8

4 single berths in saloon (not using the table).  Single berth in passage leading to big aft cabin which has a
big double berth, an opening hatch and its own head.

YACHT'S HISTORY
1980 Launched.
Sailed to USA mid 80's.  Returned UK mid 90's.
1996-2003 owned by Sailing School - major upgrade.
2003-2009 owned by local sailor who upgraded more.
2009-2011 bought to live-aboard on pontoon in marina.
2011 - put on hard-standing, as owner went to USA.
In sept 2013 he decided to stay there and sell yacht.

Most things done.                                                        --------------------------RE-LAUNCHED JULY 2015Unsailed since 2009, (see above) two of us took 'Amp' out into the north sea in 2015 to see how it sailed.
Keel-stepped Mast is 15m from deck to top so with both sails up that's a lot of sq m.
So easy to sail .  Responsive, very stable and surprisingly fast, confirming its excellent blue-water design.
Experienced skipper was impressed (he has a fast 2006 10m grp yacht in the same marina).                                                            ------------------------The yacht is in Ipswich Haven Marina which has a 24hr lock to maintain deep water.
Half-hour down the river to the sea. The berth is available to the new owner - currently £371pcm.
Water & Wifi is free.  Elec is metered at cost.  24hr Security.  Coded marina and pontoon gates.
Big Trolleys from 3 (free) car-parks in the marina to get your gear to and from your boat.
