1937 Chris Craft Special Raceboat reproduction. This unique hull was built by Golden Era Classics (Paul Dewhurst ) of Australia in 1999, then shipped to Wolfeboro, NH for completion. Plans for this hull were derived from the 1936-37 19' Chris Craft Special Raceboat but lengthened to 20'. The hull is cold molded epoxy throughout and painted with a high quality automotive finish. The interior instrument panel and curtains are of stained and varnished mahogany material. Upholstery is of top quality, custom made and installed by Rollins of Wolfeboro. The power for this raceboat is provided by a 400cu. in. "small block" Chevrolet though a Chris Craft paragon transmission. Modified with Vortec heads, Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons, Summit camshaft, Edelbrock manifold and Performer 750cfm carburetor, Mallory ignition, Glenwood exhaust manifolds and a .060 overbore, the horsepower is estimated to exceed 400. Other features include: full instrumentation (including auxillary engine compartment gauges), kill switch, fire suppression , power ventilation, lighted engine compartment, sea strainer, and cockpit cover. The trailer is a 2006 Venture VB2650 single axle modified to fit this hull. The boat was last in the water in 2009 and has only 39 hours. New Hampshire does not title boats or trailers under 3000lbs., therefore the purchaser will be given notarized bills of sale and copies of the NH registrations. Boat is stored in a secure facility and is easily accessible for inspection by appointment.
