1923 gentlemans estuary boat copy link into browserhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K0cCadUUEg&sns=emWooden construction Saab twin diesel engine Refurbished and painted in 2015 New canopy made and fitted in 2015 All new upholstery made and fitted 2015Re wired in 2015 New battery fitted in 2015All decks replaced and jointed with wood and varnished 2015Rear transom replaced in 2015Internal all painted in 2015Baiscally below is the work carried out to date on the boat.INTERNAL 1) The boat inside was stripped out down to the bilges and machine cleaned with abrasive and then the bilge re coated with 2 k epoxy and overcoated with polysiloxane coating, from internal water line up inside the cupboards etc is was over coated with 2k polyurethane finish in oyster white Ral code 1013.2) The interior sides has been sanded and epxoy primed and top coated with semi gloss 2k poly in oyster white 3) All of the wood work and main roof beams have been sanded down to hardwood again and then sprayed in 2k polyurethane varnish 4) The complete boat has been fully re wired using a NIC electrician and wired in to the old ceiling lamps with LED bulbs 5) There is a gas cooker hob on board and a sink fitted which was in place before and the sink is being connected up to a small stainless water tank hidden in the cupboard. The cooker need a heating engineer to fit a new gas line and regulator as although there is one in place it is dated, 6) There is a stanless steel gas cabin heater with chimney all fitted but this will need to be plumbed in as the cooker , both I can get done if required 7) The hatches have been removed , repaired and fitted with new glass and refitted 8) The chain locker hatch has been nearly replaced as new. 9) The floor of the cabins were removed due to old planking and have been replaced with hardwood varnished narrow T,G flooring in panels for ease of removal for bilge inspection.10) Jeckells have designed and made long shaped cushions to sit on with back rests in cabin so it is comfortable1) The floor has been replaced with new hardwood planked panels grouted with black and all sealed with 2k laquer 3) The dash of the cabin has been replaced again the same as (1) above 3) The bulk head has all been sanded down and 2k varnished 3) The cockpit roof was removed as it was old fibreglass and replaced with same as (1) above4) The back inside of the transom again has been replaced and fitted (1) above) 5) Jeckels boat makers have made and fitted acyrlic canvass cushions to all seating in the open cabin 6) Jeckells have also made a retractable hood so it can be taken out in wet weather as none fitted previous to these boats 7) All electrics and new dash has been fitted with battery indicator, 12v cigarete lighter , new lighting LED under benches etc 8) External has been fitted new chrome horn, chrome search light along with mast head lights using old lamps and stern light.9) There is also a spare 12v waterproof socket fitted on deck for other electric if requiredTOP DECK 1) This was covered with a fibreglass canvass cover which was all removed and complete deck fitted with hardwood narrow planking and black caulked and laquered 2) The mast was removed and stripped and laquered3) Deck fittings have been removed , cleaned back of old paint and refitted and stancions blasted and copper sprayed HULL EXTERNAL 1) Boat was removed from water and all external machine sanded , jointed and painted in 2k epoxy and 2k oyster white 2) The transom of the boat had been filled and overlayed with fibreglass so we got the boat yard to cut out the whole back of the transom and rebuild a new one and then plank , joint and laquer so it is now a wood planked transom re inforced at the inside with 6 x2" wood 3) The underneath has been cleaned back jointed and then coated in epoxy primer and then over coated in 2k coal tar epoxy up to sides which has then been masked off and over coated in rose pink 4) The rudder and parts were removed, grit blasted and metal sprayed and powder coated. 5) All wood rubbing strips have been sanded and varnished ENGINE 1) This has been oil changed , water cooler cleaned through , new starter motor, gear stick extended and new throttle cable also extended 2) We have re wired the engine and fitted an alternator bracket on to the engine and an old alternator with fan belt to ensure running3) All electrics go through an isolator 4) Stainless diesel tank fitted with isolators and 2 filters ( holds about 20 gallons) 5) Engine cover has been made from mahogony with removable sides and hinged lid 6) Bilge pump has been fitted at the end of the engine7) Shaft grease points fitted with manual grease filler 8) A boat engineer is coming tuesday night (8th ) to set tick over EXTERNAL 1) Have put on new navy blue fenders 4 off with new blue rope 2) Also have new navy blue mooring ropes to fit 3) Black anchor and chain on front 4) Original carved repaired name plaques "Maid Madeline" fitted on bow Notes As you can see we have done a good bit on the boat and it is all taxed and in usable condition and to date I have spent in excess of 15k on it but have to sell due to My wife stating too many boats and she only has one horse !!! Prior to selling I will get all boat cleaned and all little bits finished off requiredThe boat is a very pretty boat and goes up and down the river lovely and many people over this summer have been photographing it and it has been in the paper as you dont see any on the river.I have order 2 x teak book holders to go over the internal bulk head where someone before has cut 2 holes in it to fit speakers . It is a lovely boat to plod up the river and have a bit of fun in the estuary and with the cabin heater and cooker running would make a fun over night boat as you could put a cassette toilet in forward compartment. Beautiful day boat to cruise on the river Viewing welcome / please ring me on 07917477655 Adam
