Tarida is currently on a trailer (not included in sale but delivery utilising it could be considered) just North of Bristol. She is a well built and designed 6 berth cruiser with plenty of cockpit space and shelter. Built in Norway with a heavy layup, gel coat inside and out and to strict Norwegian Veritas build standards. Just as well as she was left to fill up with rainwater and then semi submerged in brackish water which makes her a project boat. She is remarkably good considering. In the cab there is discolouring to some areas of the mahogony finish, I have inspected by gently scraping back the varnish and the wood colour seems to come back easily. The cushions are pretty well finished through age, but the foam seems ok.The engine ancillaries look very bad but the engines themselves are an un known at the moment. I suspect the worst given her history but I was suprised to find clean oil when I dipped the oil and no obvious water or corrosion in the rocker covers. These engines only have 50 something hrs on them according to the clock. These engines are not the originals. Loads of paperwork with her including her lloyds registration document. Her old but ok looking electronics (compass and electronic giro compass, echo sounder and fish finder were not on the boat when it got wet inside and out and it doesn't look like any water got near the instrument panels.Structurally she seems good generally. Bulkheads all look good, no sign of osmosis problems. The cockpit floor bearers seem ok, but the flooring is pretty well totally finished and needs replacing. The wheelhouse had been raised at some point and stood on a wood plinth which had rotted one one side. I have taken that back out and secured it down lightly for now in its original position. That gives approx. 6ft at the back and 5ft 8 at the front in head room. There is one good looking SS cylindrical fuel tank in her of about 50 gallons in a full height fuel tray/bunding. There is provision for a second but looking at the paperwork it looks like the second developed a leak and was taken out and both motors were plumbed "temporarily" to the remaining port one.Generally a great boat, my parents had one for years (the picture of the Ali craft underway was their one) when I grew up and took it to France and the channel island and down the west coast. Fantastic spacious and seaworthy boat for a family potentially or to use as a base/cruiser anywhere. If interested to go with this that would be £1500 as a diy remove and reinstall yourself price. Alternatively I may be able to help with other diesel or Mercruiser or outboard replacements through other traders.
The trailer she is on is not included in the sale, I need it. I am willing to help if possible with a move though and do have a Landrover discovery 3 which is capable of moving her providing the weight is kept down below 3.5 ton inc trailer. The trailer with its 3 axles could carry way in excess of the weight of her given the right vehicle. For more info tel. Pete on 07880 501272 or 01271858236.
