Sadly, it is time to sell my big, beautiful Bayliner. This is the curved screen and rounded rear model that still looks very modern. The older, square cut models really look their age and the flat screen models of any age, just look cheaper and basic. This one looks fab! To my mind this is the best colour scheme ever - the light cream interior looks so classy and always draws admiring glances and positive comments. The contrasting blue hull colour is very traditional cool. I never thought the green ones looked right. This 2050 model is bigger that the more common 1850s and is roomy even for its full complement of eight passengers. We have usually had two families of four on board. This one is the LS version with front and rear facing seats and seats either side of the engine cover. This is the most spacious layout rather than the bench seat “LX” types. The amidships seating folds flat to make two sun beds and the rear seats can be also moved up to create a further sun pad across the engine bay. The hull is in fantastic condition having been gently used and not beached. See pics. Never been repaired or painted.  Engine starts easily and has never been damaged, apart or removed. Boat has been regularly serviced, winterised properly and had new filters every year despite limited use. Sterndrive leg has never been damaged, but removed every couple years for servicing - new raw water impellers, bellows etc. All oils are full and clean. No leaks. I've only been using it twice a year and at low speed 90+% of the time, so it has had an easy life. Engine has not been cleaned in all the time I’ve known it. I have photo’d it in this genuine condition rather than dress it up. Engine had a new water pump last year (rumbling bearings) and a new serpentine belt (old one is included as a spare). Two spare props and a floating prop wrench included, too! New battery fitted since old one, though functional, was past its best despite removal during winters. I have the flushing "ears" for it and so can run the motor on the driveway for you to hear it. Boat comes with front and rear covers and roof poles and bimini top. Trailer has working brakes. Trailer servicing has included: new hitch, brake cables, wheels and tyres. New bearings fitted before last outing. Old, serviceable bearings included as spares or emergency backups. Bearings have been changed regularly and are not seized on to the stubs as often happens if left for years. Brake adjusters are greased and move easily. This is my third Bayliner in 20 years.  I have owned it since 2011. Previous owner is a good friend who purchased it from SQM in Manchester around 2003, so I have known the boat for most of its life. He paid £12k at the time. I subsequently bought it from him for £7k when he took a job overseas. Just been up to Windermere with it for a final day out. Weather was glorious, spent the whole day there. Nearly changed my mind… I have only ever run it on fresh water, though it is equally at home in coastal waters. The V6 motor provides a great compromise between power and weight. The V8s are faster on to the plane, but heavy and thirsty (I used to have one). Avoid the 3 litre at all costs - it is just not powerful enough, to my mind (an unlucky friend had one). Fuel consumption with the fuel injection is very good, and so gives long run time and useful range - far more than you will need for a full day bumbling around. It seems that many start with outboard powered craft, but you will find most upgrade to these inboard models as soon as they can afford; save time, start with an inboard, life is too short... Mercruiser Engine and Alpha sterndrive are a huge improvement on the old OMC units of the 80s. Banish thoughts of unreliable clunky gear selection – these Alphas are a delight.   Overall boat is in good condition, but does have some marks commensurate with its age. Some stitched seating seems are over stretched, though not actually ripped and some staining of the vinyl is evident close up. None of this is particularly difficult or expensive to improve and that is what I will be doing if boat doesn’t sell and/or I decide to keep it a while longer. Hey, a new one is only £50k+ if you want factory fresh perfection... Rear floor has the usual Bayliner sag just by the engine bay, though this has not gotten any worse in the five years I’ve had it. Dashboard speedo and rev counter have a mind of their own! But the essentials – oil pressure, temp gauge, voltmeter, trim meter etc. work perfectly. Again, probably a simple fix of connections and sensors, but I haven't got round to it. Boat comes with two sets of keys and bungs! Just in case! Insurance is £100 per year or £200 fully comp.   Ts & Cs Bidders, please be nice. If you live overseas, you MUST NOT BID!  I cannot realistically post it! Have a UK based friend or relative bid and collect. Feel free to inspect before purchase, but bid to buy, not haggle. Genuinely offered here for sale with no reserve other than the starting price. I am a private owner, not a dealer, so no warranty or guarantees are expressed or implied, however, I’m hoping you will be pleasantly surprised by this boat and the value it represents. No crazy offers, thanks. I'm not stuck for cash or in urgent need of sale. Just space and, mainly, time are my hold ups. Too many toys... you know how it is... Winning bidder must collect within, say, two weeks.  I may be able to deliver within UK mainland up to 200 miles from Stockport for £1 per mile one way, but only if specific address is agreed by me in advance and if you have visited to view and pay first. Non-winning bidders, please stay in touch – you may get a second chance in case that winner defaults – it happens, unfortunately. Payment by cash only, please. NO PAYPAL despite what it may say elsewhere on this page. Ebay seems to force me to include PayPal in order to list, despite this being offered as cash on collection ONLY! Best of luck. David.
