This boat was handcrafted locally. It was built in 1970 from a used rental sail, (bought at a auction) and wood. The wood on the dagger board and rudder appears to be mahogany with brass fittings. The sail does have a small repair on it already. This is the same type of sailboats that were used at the Catskill Resorts and summer camps. It has not seen the water for some time with the children getting older. The only rigging issue that is apparent is a wire rope piece needs repair near the rudder.
