16ft Scorpion speedboat with part dismantled 60hp Mariner engine faulty

Ideal DIY boat project, with low starting price. Located in Oswestry, Shropshire 07831 217143 to discuss or arrange to view. Due to a new business, I no longer have the time to complete the strip down and rebuild of our beloved speedboat’s engine. We’ve had it for ten years and had some great family outings in it. The boat, built approx 1990, has been stood on the drive for two years since the engine wouldn’t start, due to poor compression on cylinders 1&2. (http://www.storypoint.co.uk/?p=1789). All the engine bits are present but for a couple of corroded bolts. Everything is packed into a couple of boxes, so the buyer will have to be prepared for an engineering jigsaw project but the bits have been stripped carefully and stored in a dry garage. The boat itself is complete and watertight, with a decent cover and sits on its Snipe break-back trailer, regularly greased and painted, with almost new tyres. Once the engine is fixed, this boat is good to go. The boat is in its original gel coat, but due to being yellow, has been bleached by the sun in several places, so it’s more custard in colour these days. Hull is tidy, although there a couple of very small filler patches, added before I bought the boat and hardly noticeable. The boat currently has two front leather car seats fitted but the old lightweight boat seats will be included in the sale also. Inventory: Mariner 60hp 2 stroke 3 cylinder engine, part stripped, power tilt and trim, fitted tarpaulin cover and engine cover, 2 front seats, large rear bench, battery and isolator, Quicksilver control, rev counter, voltmeter, bilge pump, ski pole, large stainless steel integral fuel tank, 12v fuel primer pump, trailer bar.
