Compass 28 for quick sale. Moored on a club mooring in Cremorne. Sold without the mooring although you could apply to take over the mooring if you become a member I believe.I inherited the boat 3 years ago and took it on as a project. Had a good year or so out of it and very sad to see her go but have run out of time, patience and money to restore it fully to it's former glory. Contessa has a BMW diesel engine that has seized and I had a marine mechanic inspect who said it would need to be completely replaced. I attached a mercury out board which is fine to get it on and off the mooring. That outboard is not starting now which really was the straw that broke the Camel's back. Has always run great but the pull chord seems to be jammed. I'm sure it just needs a service or someone who knows a bit about 2 strokes could probably get it going. All sails are in reasonable condition but most of the ropes and rigging would need to be replaced for serious sailing. Chain/rope anchor in working order.The inside fit out is great with all new cushions and upholstery. Front cabin comfortably sleeps 2 and all new cushions and fabric. New marine toilet with manual pump (no tank). 7 life jackets, main sail, jib and spinnaker all in reasonable condition. Was anti fouled, painted and surveyed 6 months ago. Will provide full survey papers. Marine battery with solar panel installed for the bilge pump and all lights both interior and exterior. Great chance to get a great boat at a cheap price. No time wasters please, I am just after a quick sale. It is difficult for me to get down there for inspection this week because of work and family situation but may be able to work something out if you message me.Happy Bidding.Advertised elsewhere so auction may end early if sold.
