Description Country//Region of Manufacture: United Kingdom
NB Matilda Rose has been our dream home for the last 8 years, we cruised her extensively in the UK for 6 years before taking her to France in April 2014. She has a Vetus M4-17 four cylinder Diesel engine which pushes "MR" along a 7kph at 1400 rpm, averaging about 1.6ltrs per hour. In the Saloon is a 5KW corner bubble solid fuel/wood burning fire, to supplement the fire if needed(rarely) is a kubola diesel fired central heating boiler which runs 3 radiators and also heats the hot water (when the engine has not been run). An additional heat exchanger has been built into the hot water return from the Calorifier to run the radiators as required when cruising in the winter.Matilda Rose benefits from 3x100watt solar panels, 680amp hour full traction batteries(with automated filling system and gasing). Whilst cruising she benefits from a 3.5kw travel power which via the 2500/12v/120 Victron Phoenix multi inverter replenishes the batteries as well as allowing the use of the washing machine and tumble air dryer. In the saloon there is room for either 2 reclining arm chairs or a 3 seater sofa (neither are present). There is a 240/12 volt TV. There is a de mountable Sat dish. The Galley has a four ring gas hob and built in eye level oven and grill, 240v microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. There are two 13kg propane gas bottles (stowed in the bow locker). In the shower room there is a full sized shower, (not caravan size) 12v leesan toilet (which flushes into a 320ltr black tank, emptied with a built in electric pump, either to a septic tank or through a seacock). The bedroom has a 4'6" double bed which sits over the black tank and vast areas of storage. Double wardrobe with calorifier at its base.In the rear cabin(known affectionately as the garden shed) is the electrical cabinet, washing machine and tumble dryer and steps leading up to the rear deck.Steering is via a traditional tiller. The rear deck benefits from a what is known as a pram hood (a collapsing canopy) which in winter is a godsend. The bow has an A frame and full Cratch cover. There is a full 6'4" headroom throughout the boat.Matilda Rose was dry docked in June 2015, she had 3 coats of blacking. She has been blacked every two years.
