Bayliner  Saratoga 2550 Offshore with twin Perkins 4108 linked to twin Chrysler/Volvo outdrives,Hull in very good condition and not showing any signs of repairs/previous damage, there is a couple of very light parallel scratches in line with front of cabin Starboard side but no deeper than .05 mm easy fix.'Lady Jane ' is the name referred to in the document folder which refers to starting procedures for engines, other documentation is pretty irrelevant .Only today I have been in touch with Bayliner head office and they responded very quickly with the information I had passed to them referring to the plate picture 9 they forwarded me the specification but could not be item specific as to the engine etc as their records only go back to 1976,but they confirmed the build date was 1973 so that makes this lovely old lady some 43 years old,and she wears it well .I assume the engines were installed some while ago as would not be original equipment, someone got tired of a monty gas guzzler and from my visual inspection, and that of the boatyard . the installation has been done professionally. Internally it is getting 'tired' as one would expect but by no means past the point of easy recovery, there is a small section of ply that needs chopped out and replaced and a similar section in the engine bay starboard side, the head boards/linings are needing attention in the cabin and bridge area, surprisingly the upholstery seems all pretty good but welldeck cover is needing attention.Mechanically all seems to be pretty good but has 'niggles'and I do know that the starboard engine control cable needs replaced and port side leg has a lower bearing 'grumble' there maybe other bits I don't know about as I was left this lovely lady by a family member and as I am no spring chicken my doctor has suggested it might be a bit much for me,sadly I agree so has to go.The trailer is tired also but I towed it some 100 miles but with fingers crossed as was on the limit with an 53 plate Discovery.Cash on collection only and note the old lady is located some 450 miles NORTH of London.I have located a picture of a VERY similar craft under way on bay,see item number 290941029762.More then happy to answer questions, if I know the answers, and view the boat where she is at the boatyard Arbroath Harbour.
