The Yachting Monthly Senior is a great little 16 foot weekender with an active association (Eventide Owners Group http://www.eventides.org.uk/) - Please see their website for further information on this type of boat.
It is ideally suited for creeks and local coastal sailing as it has a very shallow draft and it will happily take the ground.
I have spent several years and a considerable amount of money rebuilding this boat.  It has had new decks, new cockpit, new hatch, new interior and new rudder plus all surfaces have been taken back to the wood and coated with West System Epoxy.  All paints used have been International. This boat is sold as seen so please feel free to inspect before bidding but in my opinion the only remaining work required to finish the boat is:
Rub down (it has been stripped) under the waterline and coat with Epoxy and finish the painting (International paints are included plus some Epoxy)Paint the hull again (this has had 1 coat of green as in the pictures but I had changed my mind and changed to dark blue (International paint is included) - you can go with either colour!General finishing touches to the cosmetic workFit deck fittings (included in sale)Any other additions you would like to makeItems you will need:
Engine (I recommend a 5hp long shaft outboard) plus bracketMast, boom and rigging (main sail and jib are included but the rigging has disappeared in the time that the work has taken place)Nasa Clipper Duet (the transducers are included and just need to be fitted in the holes already in place) but the main unit will be required (the hole is already in place for this)Marine Battery (electrics are in place including breaker panel, amp and speakers, lights (navigation and cabin), bilge pump and isolator switch plus shore power).Gas grill (gas locker and bottle is in place)The boat has been stored in a barn for several years but was moved outside at the end of last year and covered with a tarpaulin and frame work (as seen in the pictures).
The boat is based near Faversham in Kent (at my parents) and viewing is welcome/recommended.  To arrange a viewing please call Wendy on 01795 535259.Should you have any questions about the boat please feel free to email me at keith.pryke@gmail.com.Please note there is no trailer and you will need to arrange the collection yourself with no assistance available when collecting.Cash on collection preferred.Happy Bidding and Good Luck.....
