Classic timber ski boat, 'The Bat Boat' was built by master craftsman Ken Amy Circa 1965 in Sydney, based on plans from the USA .This boat was one of the original ski boats in the Port Hacking River. The boat has custom trim-tabs and fins. Although it has been spray painted, the boat could easily be restored to a beautiful timber and varnish finish. It is flat bottomed and great fun to drive.The boat is on a new 'Sales' branded trailer, costing $3,000. The motor is a 120HP Johnson, although being a few years old is in immaculate condition and has many years of trouble free boating left in it. Yes the motor has been regularly serviced. Although the deck of the boat needs a little TLC, it can be used straight away now. Yes the boat is operational and ready for use.I would much rather sell this one of a kind classic ski boat to someone who will restore it and enjoy it!!However if you don't want the boat, take the new trailer and a good working 120HP Johnson outboard, Circa 1990 and do what you have planned with them.My brother in law built it in 1965 and is still working in the marine industry at Taren Point. I bought it from him in 1980 and has been used ever since. Sadly time to move it on, but the 'Bat Boat' will always remain in many peoples memories as a fun part of holidays and growing up.Yes both trailer and boat are registered, however I would like to keep my rego number WL7N!!
