We are reluctantly, after 12 years of yacht share, selling our 1/4 share in 'LIBERTY' a Bavaria 38 yacht (British Registered SSR) built in 2002.She is a lovely clean and well maintained yacht and can easily accommodate 6 people.She has a double berth forward with en suite heads, wc, basin and shower, two double aft cabins, an aft heads with wc, basin and shower, a main saloon with galley, chart table. She is very easy to handle and is well equipped with hot water, fridge, life raft, dinghy, outboard, electric windlass, bimini, spray hood, and a powerful diesel engine. We pay between £100 and £120 each month into the syndicate funds to cover all maintenance and costs.Our 1/4 share gives us a minimum of 6 weeks use of the yacht every year - there are always spare weeks available too! 'Liberty' is based in Vliho bay near Nidri on Lefkada in the Ionian and looked after by Vliho yacht club which is owned and managed by a British couple.She is well maintained and in good condition with all work carried out by the professionals at the yacht club. year. There are always spare weeks available too.Dates are agreed on a round robin basis at the AGM which takes place in November each year.The yacht is normally wintered ashore and put back into the water in April and taken out in October. Flights are normally to Preveza and then a taxi to the yacht club or a flight to Corfu and then on to the yacht club by bus or taxi. It is also possible to fly to Athens and get a bus/taxi to the yacht club.The sailing area is magnificent and very safe with sunshine, gentle winds and no tides to worry about. In a typical two week holiday we normally visit the beautiful harbours on islands such as Cephalonia, Ithaca,Kalamos, Kastos, Meganissi, Lefkada, Corfu. Paxos etc. The Ionian islands are fantastic places to visit Most people who enjoy regularly chartering a yacht in Greece or book flotilla sailing holidays end up buying a share of their own as it is much more cost effective.
