This auction was ended by eBay less than 24 hours prior to closing because they said it was listed incorrectly by not being listed on eBay Motors. Why they waited so long to cancel the auction is a mystery... I apologize for an inconvenience to any of the watchers and bidders. For some reason they would not send bidders an email explaining what happened and why...SO - here we go again...What you have here is a barn fresh 1959 Silver Arrow. It is very rare, according to general beliefs there are less than 30 of these known to survive of the less than 300 made.I purchased this with the intent of restoring to use at a retirement lakefront property. Plans changed and I now own sound front property. I do not believe this boat should see salt water and have made other plans. The boat must now go...It is in the condition as you see in the photos - carpenter ant damage on one side and the stern is showing signs of separating. I had a ballpark estimate of $2,000 to fix the wood. The rest of the wood is solid - no rot to any stringers or planking that I am aware of. This boat is solid.Yes, someone painted it purple - yes the original paint is underneath the purple. All the original seat platforms are there and ready to be reupholstered. The piece that goes between the rear seats is there - as is the "Jetsons" running light. Bow light is original and in excellent condition. One latch on the motor cover is missing - this is the only piece that I know of that is not there !Motor was winterized and is free. 283 Chris Craft original motor. The gauges are original - in decent condition, not sure if they work...I do not have a key - switch number is CH-510I do have a lot of the paperwork - copy of the original build sheet.... It is hull number SA-19-078, manufactured at the Cadillac plant. The web has far more information than I can provide - in fact I will probably have to reference the web to answer general questions. So you might want to research general info there first.I have owned the boat less than a year. What I do know about this boat is that it is one of the coolest boats ever. Wherever you go, it will be a head turner. This boat must be picked up in Newtown, Ct 06470 - a deposit of $1,000 must be received within 24 hours of the end of the auction and the balance paid in full within 3 days. The boat must be picked up within 2 weeks. If you need longer, I may be able to accommodate you - but there will need to be FIRM plans in place. This boat is being sold as-is, where is. any interested parties are strongly recommend to have this boat inspected / surveyed by the buyer or a qualified agent. Inspection can be arranged at most any time...Restored - Silver Arrows are worth $50,000-plus. There is currently one on eBay for $70,000 and another appears periodically for over $100,000I estimated restoration costs around $10-12,000.It is for sale locally - I reserve the right to cancel the auction should it sell here prior to the end of the auction. This boat is being sold with NO RESERVEDON'T MISS OUT ON THIS PRIME OPPORTUNITY
