Missuann III is a stout "ship" which is deceptively spacious, comfortable, stands up to a blow (in other words slow under sail in light airs), goes upwind like a witch (thanks to the Perkins), great for a party, and a fantastic family boat.  Unfortunately she does also take some looking after and since the children have left home I have found that the only times I spend on board is to work rather than to cruise so she has to go.If you google Missuann you will find there is a lot of information about her on the internet and right now I am only just bringing myself to list her - let alone write a big description. We have looked after her, and spent some money on professional jobs, such as letting in new wood to the canin to deck join at the Elephant boatyard in 2014, and having the garboard seams caulked at Fairlie restorations in 2015.The first two photos are how she looks now (although with a bit more weed on the bottom as she hasn't had a scrub this year).  The ones out of the water were at Fairlie restorations, and there are a couple with a bowsprit fitted which is a work-in-progress although started a few years ago.  Right now she could do with some varnishing, and anti-foul, and replacing a piece of plywood on the "dashboard" - and SAILING.She has 7 berths in 3 cabins: a comfortable forepeak with two singles under the foredeck (low headroom), aft of that a full width walk-through head compartment with sea toilet and folding washbasin, aft of that the saloon with a double to port (table and 4 seats in daytime, with wide single berth opposite.  There is a Taylor drip-fed diesel heater in here but at the moment the chimney is disconnected as we re-covered the deck (which is no longer teak - but also doesn't leak).  There is good headroom in here.  Then you come up abut three steps into the pilto house which is the best feature.  From here you can steer and navigate from the well equipped - if a little dated - "dashboard".  The galley and main seating area is up here so you can sit inside, out of the wind or rain, and enjoy the view and a drink - hot or cold.  There is plenty of room on deck and it is easy to walk around the boat inside ample life-lines.  When the children were teenagers they would take the boat away for a few days with 8 people on board and there was plenty of room. She is not going to get you anywhere fast but will give you a great feeling of security, being built to Irish-sea fishing boat specifications.  When she is on a broad reach with a decent breeze the feeling of power standing in the bow as she shoulders the sea aside is incredible.  We can sail all year round without wet-weather gear - only putting it on to nip out and hoist or lower sails.  The Perkins diesel is 80bhp and runs like a dream (there is a comprehensive set of spares onboard).I have not put up interior photos because I need to go and take some, basically she looks the same as the pictures you will find online if you Google: Missuann. However I will take more and send them if you ask me, and maybe edit the advert to fill in the three most popular requests.  I have a survey from when we bought her, but that us getting a bit old now, and I would be happy to answer questions from interested parties. The boat is on a private mooring which is in the best position between Hamble and Hamble Point.  It is paid up to the end of the year and I think it would be likely that the new owner could negotiate to continue renting it.
