Avid boat watchers will have seen the Morebass on eBay some weeks ago. I won the bid without travelling 60 miles to view. The boat was exactly as described by the medical professional selling it but for sale again as not suitable for the following reasons:I am 72 and not the Tarzan I used to be as this heavy layup dory is too heavy to launch and recover for me and the outboard is a manual lift up which I cannot manage. My mantra has always been view before you buy but failed to adhere to that in this instance.Boat and extras:The pictures make most details obvious so will add the following:Modern DSC VHFElectric bilge pump.Mercury Thruster electric trolling outboard with separate battery.Good trailer with recent tyres and bearings.1 starter battery.Tiedown ratchet strap.Lightboard.A previous owner.joiner added a hardwood front deck with lockable locker beneath. Professionally mounted consul and seat trimmed in varnished mahogany. Both with storage spaces. Side buoyancy tanks trimmed as seating. 2 stainless rod holdersIlluminated switches for radio,bilge pump and cigarette/charger socket.Now this outboard: A powerful 40hp premix 50:1 power unit with recent water pump impellor. The previous owner purchased this long shaft engine from a Pembrokeshire dealer two years. Reading his report on the recent reverse problem is as follows: "The selector pushrod for reverse breaking free of it's captive hole. An easy repair by removing the power head and bushing the now elongated hole which is prevented full reverse engagement". The report goes on to say that it does not effect forward gear, nor can it so the buyer would decide to use and enjoy or fix and add £500 value to the boat.Since it landed at my house I have wirebrushed and painted wheels and mudguards. Repaired electric bilge pump and generally cleaned and checked everything else.The fixed selling price is what my costs are now. Buyers are welcome and recommended to view and see engine working and pumping water at SA63 4UNPembrokeshire.
