I am listing my Luhrs 342 sportfish with twin detroit 8.2's for sale.  The boat is Docked in Leonardo's (State Marina) which is one of the closest locations to the Ocean from Raritan Bay in NJ.  The option to keep this slip this year and for next year will come with this boat.  The boat does have an issue with what is believed to be injector(s).  I have a diesel mechanic currently working on the boat, and I will update the auction once the issue is fixed (description and price).
Exterior:  The exterior condition of the boat is good, but not perfect.  It could use a touch up as far as paint, but the fiberglass is mostly solid.  Engines:  The engines run ok with only 1550 hours on them.  However- one motor starts to produce black smoke at about 2k rpm or 9 knots.  That particular engine has been like this since I owned it, and I have been using it for about 100 hours.  I have already replaced the turbo on that motor since that turbo was in need of a rebuild, and I suspect the issue is injector related, but I am not 100% sure.  The boat is fine to run as-is if you are fine with a slow speed and great fuel consumption at 8-9 knots.  Hull:  The hull on this boat is very solid and it is actually pure fiberglass all the way through on the bottom.  The stringers have a wooden core.Enclosure on the top:  The enclosure is included, but it could use a rebuild on certain panels.  The sunbrella material on the top was already replaced.Fishfinder:  I have a Garmin 3010C with a 2500 foot depth capacity fishfinder coming with this boat, and also a newer echomap chirp with a gt 51m thru hull transducer that can be purchased as an add-on (I just bought it and I am not planning to include it for free)!Deck:  The deck on the boat isn't completely finished, since we cut into it for the fuel tanks.  It is usable as-is though.  We turned part of the deck into a hatch that opens after you remove the ladder from the boat.  I listed one or two pictures where you can see part of it.  I was planning to fix it eventually.  Its actually a much better to get a luhrs with this already started since the fuel tanks were common to go bad in this model boat (if you were planning to get a luhrs boat). I have replaced the 300 fuel tank  with 2 smaller fuel tanks.  The capacity of the boat is now 150 gallons instead of the original 300 gallons, but it is very good on fuel and I don't see the range being a problem.  I couldn't find the right tank for the boat so I just put those in.  Works fine.  I added a few bags of rocks for ballast weight to make up the weight lost for fuel weight.  This really helps the boat feel stable at a beam sea (more like a Hatteras boat)!I have replaced a main seal on the right side engine, and there are no oil leaks on the boat.I have replaced the bilge pumps with a rule 1500 unit in the back, a rule 200 unit with a float switch inbetween the engines, a whale low profile automatic unit in the front, and a rule 2000 in the forward most compartment.I have replaced all of the 8D batteries.I have rebuilt both starters and both alternators Generator:  The generator is missing parts, so that doesn't work unfortunately.Fresh water pump was replaced on one motor, and the other one was inspected and fit with a new impeller (one last year and one this year) so both of those are fine.Steering:  The steering was hynautic and I replaced it with a brand new hydraulic unit, installed by glenn godsey of godsey marine (but he left it to me with a leak and I just had Wagner's boat yard fix the small leak) so its functional at this point.I am sure there are more things I have done, but this is a good start.  A lot of work has been done to this boat. History: I am the 3rd owner of this boatShipping and payment:  I have listed the boat for 23,000 which is a high price by a couple thousand.  Part of the reason I did this was to eliminate any people who want to just hit the buy it now quickly because they see a cheap price.  If you are serious about making an offer, I am negotiable as far as price- but its probably best to give me a call at (201)618-3568 and arrange a time to view the boat and possibly run the boat and I can give you a complete run down of what the boat needs as far as work is concerned.  In the mean time, I am having a diesel mechanic looking into the smoking issue.
