If you follow my auctions you know I have been selling used ATV's on eBay for longer than any other powersports dealer and am an avid powersports nut. I was in Iowas a couple of years ago buying ATV's and noticed all the fun that was going on in the big beautiful river. I got a newspaper and found this really neat StarCraft boat and bought it and have used it 5 or six times. It is a really neat boat and since it is aluminum it is light and can be pulled with almost any kind of vehicle. the thing that really intrigued me about this particular one is that it has a 170 HP four stroke engine so it is ultra reliable and is miserly on fuel-but it has enough HP to also pull a skier. When I went and looked at it I immediately had to have it. the dash looks like a 1965 Mustang and everything works. The guy who owned it was a wealthy old guy who had a cabin in Canada and he used this boat once a year to haul gear 30 miles up a river to his family cabin. He updated the engine to late model Delco alternator and starter (the trick thing that anyone who has any knowledge on this setup does.) It is a cloesd loop cooling system so runs anti freeze through the engine and won't deteriorate through corrosion like open systems that use lake water. Really high end. Incredibly easy to start and very quiet-plus it idles really smooth-unlike an outboard. It comes with two props-one for speed and one for take off. It has the canvas top and he had redone all of the floor and covered it in a vinyl textured finish so it should last forever, is not slick and is soft on the feet. It is high sided so is great in all kind of weather and has tons of room in it so you can fish with friends or haul your family and all kinds of gear around. A fantastic all around boat.
