This
eBay auction relates to a 30ft steel motor vessel named “Liberte”, which is
believed to be built in Holland around 1980 by a company called De Meeuw – hereafter
referred to as “the Vessel”.
The
Vessel is being offered for sale by a private individual not acting in the
course of trade, hereafter referred to as “the Vendor”. The Vessel and its fittings, equipment and inventory is Sold As Seen with no warranties or guarantees offered or implied.
Preston
Marine Services Ltd. (Preston Marina) are a company who have been engaged to
act as an agent for the Vendor for the purposes of the sale of the Vessel, and
who have prepared this description and have created this eBay listing and are
hereafter referred to as “the Broker”.
The
winning bidder of this eBay auction will be hereafter referred to as “the Buyer”
and will be subject to the Special Conditions of this auction as detailed in
this description as well as the usual terms and conditions of an eBay auction.
The ex-buyer and the
surveyor have very kindly given permission for this survey to be inspected by any

The
Broker, the Vendor or the Surveyor will not engage in any discussions regarding
the scope, method or possible costs of any repairs and re-fit work that may be
required.
Auction Conditions
1) The starting price for the eBay auction will be £5,000 with no
reserve price. The
auction will run for 10 days. There is no “Buy It Now” price. Ends on Monday 11th July at 14:48hrs.
2) All bids are assumed by the Broker to be placed with genuine intent
to buy and will be treated as such and legally binding.
3) Viewing of the Vessel is easily available by prior arrangement – see
section below.
4) A winning bidder must place a 5% deposit by Pay Pal or by telephone
with Debit/Credit Card within 24 hours of the end of the auction.
5) The balance is to be paid into the Brokerage client holding bank account
of the Broker by the Buyer within 7 days of the end of the auction. This can be
by electronic transfer, cheque (which must be allowed to clear), debit card,
cash (subject to money laundering regulation conditions) or credit card
(subject to 1.5% fee).
6) Once cleared funds are in place with the Broker a receipt will be
issued to the Buyer, and a Bill of Sale, transferring title of the Vessel to
the Buyer will be issued within a reasonable time (approx. 7-10 working days)
Viewing of the Vessel
1) The Vessel is available for viewing 7 days per week at Preston Marina
(PR2 2YP). Viewing from 10am – 4pm.
2) Please contact Preston Marina (Telephone 01772 733595 or ) in advance of
your intended viewing.
3) Please be aware that access to the boat is via a wooden staircase.
4) Keep your viewing party to a minimum – no more than 4 per party.
Please no children under 12 years. No pets.
5) Ensure appropriate clothing and especially footwear (non slip, non
marking, flat soles) are worn.
Post Purchase
Information
Berthing and Berthing Costs
Upon the successful completion of a sale, the new owner (the Buyer) should
remove the Vessel from her current location, the boatyard of Preston Marina, within
7 days of the completed sale.
If the Buyer wishes to keep the Vessel at Preston Marina they must fill
out a PMS berthing licence application. Assuming the Buyer/applicant meets the
standard Terms and Conditions of PMS (information available on request or from ) such a
licence application will not be unreasonably declined.
As an indication of cost – the current mooring cost for the Vessel at
Preston Marina under our “Inland Cruisers Mooring Scheme” is £1382.57 per year
inc. VAT. (Same price whether afloat or ashore on hard-standing). This is the minimum mooring time that we are prepared to offer with this Vessel.
To lift the Vessel by Preston Marina’s crane to the water or to a
transport trailer is £160 inc. VAT.
Road Transport
The Buyer may wish to arrange to move the Vessel by road from the premises of Preston Marina.
The Buyer must arrange their own transport. An example (below) of 3
companies known to offer an appropriate service (other transport services are
available);
