The Hurley 24/70 is currently out of the water in Wicor Yacht Haven, Portchester, Portsmouth having been sailed up until the end of last season. If your expectations are to come over next week to drop her in the water and sail her away, then this is quite unlikely as we sailed her in to the Mooring in October last year and put her ashore in December. We haven't fired up the engine/change fuel or anything like that since October. We did put another coat of anti-foul on. So please do not bid if this is the case. The engine was rebuilt 2 years ago and has only done about 4 hours since. But it is an old BMW D12 and we would have replaced it at some point if we were keeping the boat. I put new hoses and filter on a few months ago and a new battery. Everything else is in OK order and she sails well with a deep cockpit for the family to hide away in. We mainly stuck to the Solent with the odd trip out to Poole, but in the past she has sailed to the channel Islands and France on many occasions.
Instruments as in the pictures, Garmin echo map 50s plotter cost £500 2 years ago, Clipper duet cost £160 2 years ago, Cobra marine VHF cost £150 1 year ago, FM/SD/USB stereo, Fish Finder, Bulkhead Compass, Rutland wind charger, Solar panel. Plough Anchor and 50m chain and warp, Gas Grill and two burners, Sea Toilet, Fenders, Life ring, Throw line, Mooring lines.
Currently cost ashore is £130 per month. In the water is between £1000-2,200 per annum, but you need to check this with Wicor. Paid until end of July
Have in mind this is an old boat, hence no reserve and will require ongoing love and attention. All Ok when we sailed her in last season but nothing tested or used since October last year..(Outboard engine, wife and kids not included in the sale)Cash on collection or paypal in advance. I'm looking for a quick and cheap sale, so therefore am not interested in Tyre kickers and dreamers. I've already incurred £27 of ebay charges due to time waisters. If you want it bid-pay-take it away!
