Hobie Cat 'Miracle 20'A Great Racing Thoroughbred from Hobie AlterAnd a Super Day Sailing PerformerI've owned and raced many models of the Hobie Cat, but none were enjoyed more than the Hobie 20! I've owner this boat since new and it has been carefully cared for from the beginning. Always kept inside and covered when not in action. She's always had a thorough fresh water bath anytime the sailing action was in sea water. All sails, gear and rigging were treated the same, plenty of clean care. ((After 38 years of catamaran racing I've just had a knee replacement, and I'm out of the game. Good luck bidding, she's a great boat!!))She was a successful racer along the entire Gulf Coast of FloridaEvery piece of rigging and hardware has been changed out producing a very competitive racing boat (all 'class' legal) and an excellent performance daysailer. The photos will show in detail to the knowing eye how much has been improved on. All sheets and lines have been changed to a lighter but larger diameter to afford better, quicker handling. All standard blocks and sailing tackle have been changed to lighter and more lively Harken Carbo Air Blocks. Hulls are in very good shape and have been kept in race ready condition. The bottoms were NEVER drug through the sand and are smooth! (thanks to the Cat Trax) The sails are like brand new (yellow set), one suit of sails are completely new (white set). The yellow set was designed and sent to the Hobie sail loft for a "one off" result. They used all the blue and red they had on the main sail. There is an additional new white jib and also the original main sail. (so 3 complete sets of sails for this boat) In the photos, pay close attention to how white and fresh looking the stitching is on the sails. This indicates how great the condition is. Rudders and dagger boards are in excellent shape. Mast and boom, cross bars and rigging are in excellent shape.Total investment in this boat, equipment and gear is over $18,000.00The trailer is galvanized and is in good shape. Axle bearings always serviced. I installed full length hull supports to protect the light weight Hobie 20 hulls from pressure fatigue that comes with the standard Hobie trailers that have the 'four rollers'. All lights work. There is a lockable sail box and additional sail tube mounted on the trailer.
