Up for sale is my 1984 Mako 21B center console. I bought this boat in 2014 and have been restoring it for the past 2 years. Now it's time to buy my first house so I have to let her go (begrudgingly). This boat has brought me a lot of joy and it gets a TON of compliments. When I bought the boat from its previous owner, it was running well but needed some TLC. I started by stripping the interior of all hardware and wood and painting with gloss topside paint (off-white to match the hull). I then replaced all the hardware and had the cleats and rod holders chromed. I kept the bow rail off because I liked how it looked, but will include it with the boat. Also stripped the bottom paint and changed the color to blue.I began to restore the teak trim throughout, but was unhappy with the end result, so I ended up replacing everything. I also added a new stereo, 5 speakers, and all new stainless switches for the electronics/lighting. The boat came with a nice Garmin 531 I will include as well. Works great and is color and backlit. Photo of unit shows boat doing 40mph.All cushions were replaced with custom ones to match the topside paint and are in like-new condition with no rips whatsoever. I made a custom leaning post the perfect height to drive the boat sitting or standing and had a cushion made for that as well. Also had the bimini recovered to match the blue hull.Last summer I found a newer outboard for the boat and made the conversion. I went from a 96 Evinrude 175 to a 2001 250 with direct injection. I got tired of the carburetor, smoke, and gas consumption. The new motor is perfect for the boat and fires up every time. Have about 100hrs on it since I repowered and its never stalled or failed to start. I replaced the throttle control/binnacle module as well with a new (much sturdier). Also went from a 4-blade 17p prop to a brand new Viper 3-blade, 19p and added a hydrofoil for quicker planing. Less vibration and top end is better too. Motor shines, skeg is perfect, and prop is new. I replaced the seals on the SeaStar steering unit since they were leaking a tad. Also changed plugs, filters, and lower-unit lube on the engine. Works like a charm and gets the boat on plane almost instantaneously. Trailor is in great shape. All lights work. Wheel bearing and tires were changed in 2015.As you can see I've babied this boat and gone above and beyond to make it perfect. Sorry to see it go but circumstances are nonnegotiable. The boat is in the water for the season and available for sea trial for serious buyers. I will require $1000 via paypal within 48hrs of auction end and a bank/certified check for the balance. Boat is sold without any warranty, express or implied. Rest assured this is a turn-key boat.
