I purchased the "Sanity Island" about 12 years ago and have invested in the region of $50k plus time, effort and a lot of care and attention into her over that time to bring her up to her current, beautiful condition. She handles well, is surprisingly roomy with loads of storage and has given much pleasure to me and my friends over the years. But now it is time to move on, so my loss is some lucky person's gain! Tri-cabin with a light, bright interior and roomy sleeping quarters. Comfortably sleeps four but salon seating area converts to another double bed so six people can be accommodated. Beautiful teak and holly floors in salon and V-bunk. Great for sailing the Chesapeake. Fully walk around deck. Atomic four, gas engine, runs great.. She has been fully restored including two coats of Epoxy hull paint and topside Enron paint. In 2015, a top fiberglass contractor was commissioned to undertake $8,000 worth of work on the keel, including fitting a garboard plug for direct bilge drainage when on the hard. Additional features include: $5,000 remote controlled, wireless, stainless steel davits for your dinghy (note: no dinghy included) New lazy jacks on main New roller furling jib New double biminis over cockpit and companionway in Captain's Navy Sunbrella New main sail cover to match Modernized look to windows Boat is completely dry GPS, wind gauge, depth gauge, etc. Removable teak dining table to enable adaptation to double bed New custom made white, rolled and pleated wipeable salon seating Dining area easily converts to double bed New aft cabin, custom made mattress New cutlass bearing fitted recently New alternator New water pump New three blade propeller fitted recently New Jabsco electric toilet fitted recently New propane, built-in counter top, two burner cook stove New domestic fridge Domestic air conditioner fitted into aft cabin, operates on dock power only but very useful. Decorative trim is made of specially engineered, weatherproof, manmade material that looks like teak without the maintenance issues. Grab handles are teak. The boat is currently on the hard, located on the Eastern Shore of Chesapeake Bay, Maryland and can be viewed by appointment at short notice. She can be launched readily for sea trial by a serious purchaser. |
