GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This Cal 2-29 is a fin keel, skeg rudder sailing sloop with an aft cockpit and wheel steering. In the forepeak is a double V-berth with a head and hanging locker just aft, making the forward cabin. In the main cabin is a U-shaped settee and a table to port. The starboard galley includes a sink, counter, ice box, and a Force 10 Propane stove with oven. Quarterberths extend aft both to port and starboard under the cockpit. Side access to the engine is from each quarterberth with front access from under the steps.PROPULSION MACHINERY: The engine is a raw water cooled Farymann A30M 12HP diesel with approx. 2000 hrs. Engine has not been operated in 6 yrs. and is currently not running, but is believed to be serviceable. Shaft coupling, propeller, and pulleys and belts may need to be replaced. Starter system.will require new wiring from control panel to starter.SAIL INVENTORY: The Main sail is a fully battened North sail, in excellent condition, as is the 150 Genoa. The working jib is older, but in good condition. The spinnaker is very lightly used, and in excellent condition.GENERAL CONDITION: This sailboat sails great, while being stable, and very fast. But this vessel has seen little use in the last 6 years and its interior consequently will require some cosmetic work, including painting of the cabin. For an owner with the time and resources to work on this boat, this is a great value.
