This is my Father's Bruce Roberts design steel masthead cutter SSR 80788. Length overall (including bowsprit) 33'6"  Length on deck 27'6"  Length at waterline 22'6"  Beam 8'6"  Draft 3'3" 4.5 tonss displacement. Home build by D Comisky early 1998. Engine Beta BD 722 three cylinder 20 hp diesel serial YC5437  Tankage:- water 160 litres. Fuel 200 litres. Holding tank 76 litres. Six berths inc toilet and kitchen area.

The sail includes:- fully battened mainsail with lazyjacks, furling genoa, furling yankee, spinnaker and stormsail. Fitted cQR 25 lb anchor with 30m 3/8" chain. Eberspacher air heater. Swiftech vhf radio. Boat speed indicator, log, nexus wind direction/speed wireless unit, echo sounder and Garmin gps. 2 Raython tiller pilots. Compass. Some charts and med. pilots. Operating manuals. The engine brought the vessel from the Severn estuary to Portmadoc without any problem but has not been run since the vessel has been ashore in Portmadoc and should be tested thoroughly when the vessel is floated.
I have included some caveats in the form of work required - Domestic battery renewal. Engine start battery to check. Replace electric fuel transfer pump. Air heater overhaul. The hull is in very good condition but the anode is missing (stolen) off the Port fin and the underwater section needs renewal of the antifouling. The saloon bilge requires old paint removing and repainting.
As you can see I tend to be a bit literal. The records seem to show differing build dates. What actually happened was that during the build, which necessarily took some time, the European Small Boat Directive came into force. It was too late for compliance so the boat was 'launched' and named while still in unfinished condition in the builders garden. He then tried to use the actual completion day as the build day which would have been illegal. So it has to be emphasised that she was 'built' prior the s.b.d. which became operative in June 1998.
She is ashore along side the esturary in Portmadoc and is being sold 'as seen and where found' and if you don't sail could be a lovely coastal retreat.Reluctant sale due to advancing years!Any questions - Robin (01989) 562556
