Southerly 28 ‘Frostbite’ is a swing keel 1977 white hull five berth pilot house motor/sailer which has been refurbished with new electronics, upholstery, curtains, self-tailing winches, sprayhood and full cockpit enclosure with cushions.  Purpose built stainless steel/teak seats have been installed on the pushpit and a stainless steel pod, with depth/log, wind and a chartplotter instruments, has been installed over the companionway.  There is good standing headroom in the saloon with a horseshoe dinette, TV/DVD and eberspacher heating.   There's 12v and 240v lighting and a 240v heater in the dinette.  The DSC/AIS radio is connected to a Furano GPS and mounted over the navigation table.  On the foredeck there is an anchor chain windlass with CQR and Bruce anchors.   The hull is GRP with hi- gloss white topsides and deck mouldings. The self-draining cockpit has large storage lockers and there is a fold- away boarding ladder. Two calor gas bottles are stored in the stern locker.  There is a leg mount in the cockpit floor for a cockpit table.  Stainless steel davits have been installed on the transom to lift the Wetline 230 inflatable dinghy.  There is a mount for the Autohelm ST200 as well as a flagstaff and ensign..   The mainsail furls on the mast, not in the mast, and the genoa furls on a foil on the forestay.  There are two Lewmar ST40 winches for the genoa as well as Barlow winches for the spinnaker.  All sheets and lines are controlled from the cockpit.   The Engine is a 28HP Yanmar 3GM30 which has been regularly serviced.  There are two 12V batteries for the engine and domestic power as well as a 240v hook up for shore power with a connection cable.  Two switch panels have been installed; for navigation and domestics, with an intelligent 240v battery charger.      Accommodation comprises of two single bunks in the forepeak, a double berth in the dinette and a single ‘skipper’s’ quarter berth.  The full cockpit cushions provide extra berths if required.  Storage is excellent for a 28 foot yacht due to the wide beam.  There are additional 12v lights in all the cabins.  The galley on the starboard side, opposite the horseshoe dinette, features a gimballed full gas oven with 2 burner hobs, grill and a safety solenoid regulator. The single stainless steel sink has pressurised hot and cold water. The 12v refrigerator is fitted in the same unit as the sink and produces ample ice for drinks.. There is plentiful storage for both crockery and provisions. There are three fire extinguishers and a fire blanket in the galley. The heads compartment has a Jabasco vacuum toilet, pressurised hot and cold water and vanity unit. (A shower can be installed if required)   The last survey and additional photographs are available on request.  Frostbite is presently out of the water, in Wareham, and is available for inspection.  Please contact me to arrange a visit.LOA 8.38m (27'6"), LWL 7.32m (24'0"), Beam 2.74m (9'0"), Draft Min 0.76m (2'6"), Draft Max 1.45m (4'9"), Displacement 3,856kg (8,501.5lbs)   Additional Inventory:   Fenders:        5 ‘Fairline’ 30” x 8”, 1 x ‘Sowester’ 19” x 6”, 1 x ‘Anchor Marine’ Bow, 1 x ‘Norfloat’ Ball Safety: ‘Pains’ Inshore Distress Pack, 4 Man ‘Seasava 4’ Valise Life-Raft, Horseshoe Buoy & Light, ‘Plastimo’ RORC Dan Buoy & Light, ‘Lifesling’ Overboard Rescue System, ‘Bell’ Throw Line, 4 ‘Parmaris’ and 1 ‘Compass’ Life Jackets   Inflatable Dinghy:  ‘Wetline 230’ complete with Inflatable Floor, Wooden  Thwart, Aluminium Sectional Oars,  Outboard Bracket, Foot Pump, 12v Pump, Thwart Bag (unused and not in photo), Lifting Strops for Davits, No repairs to dinghy but one professional repair to floor.   Mast Lowering System:  A Frame, Forestay and Mast Tabernacle.     Sundry Items:  ‘Moorfast’ Buoy Pickup System, Anchor Ball, Motoring Cone, Boatswain’s Chair, 2 x Barge Board Fenders, 1 x Barge Board, ‘Compass’ Air Scoop for Front Hatch, Emergency VHF Aerial, 2 Step Fender, 2 x Guardrail Back Rests, Canvas Bucket, 2 x Boat Hooks, 2 x Deck Brushes, 3 Sail Bags, Previous Main Sail.   Warps & Lines:  2 x 15mm Red 22m, 2 x 15mm Yellow 16m, 1 x 10mm White/Black 18m, 1 x 12mm Orange 9.5m, 1 x 12mm Red/White, 14m, 1 x 10mm White/Black 9m, 1 x White/Red ‘Boom Preventer’ with Blocks and Carabiners, 2 x Warp/Chain Buoy LinesGalley:  Set of Stainless Saucepans, Frying Pan, Kitchen Utensils, Scisors, Gas Kettle, Melamine Dinner Service for 4, 3 Large Plastic Wine Glasses, Ceramic Mugs, Can Opener, Gas Lighter, Bread Knife, 2 Stainless Mugs, Glass Cloths, Dustpan/Brush.
