SILHOUETTE MK2 'Millie'Designed by Robert Tucker in 1955Built 1998, Launched in 2001 (Probably the newest Silhouette around)Built in Colchester by 2 carpenters and then exhibited at the Greenwich wooden boatshow.2 Berth, 1 quarter berth and other in saloon. sitting headroom---Boatbuilder owned, cared for and maintained for the last 9 years. In which time she has been sailed extensively on the east coast in all weather. She is very seaworthy and a fun boat to sail. She sails like a dinghy and is perfectly set up so you leave the helm and she will sail herself. She is also set up for single handed sailing, all ropes and control lines come back to the cockpit. She would be an ideal boat for someone stepping up from a dinghy to a yacht as that is what she was for me. I no longer have the time to keep up the maintenance due to work commitments so 'Millie' has to go. Lots of work has been done in recent years including fitting a new steel rudder blade, skeg and tiller. Re building the cockpit and fitting new windows amongst many other jobs. She is freshly Antifouled for this season, on her trailer and ready to launch.INVENTORYSwiftech VHF radio, NASA TARGET depth sounder, Solar panel, 12v battery new 2015, W7 Antal sheet winches, Flares, Ensign, CQR Anchor and 16m of chain, Fenders and mooring ropes, cockpit dodgers, cockpit cover, boom/sail cover, whale gusher bilge pump, spare tiller, horseshoe life bouy, 2 burner gas cartridge cooker new last year, 10 litre water tank and whale flipper tap. Cups, plates, cutlery etc. Berth Cushions - (need recovering), Bucket Toilet, 12v lighting. Also included is a folder full of original receipts, a set of plans, owners manuals etc and several copies of the Silhouette owners Association Journal which is definitely worth joining as a member, this boat featured in one copy.RIGZ Spars Mast and Boom, slab reefing and Facnor roller reefing headsail. Stainless steel rigging and bottle screws. All of which new in 2001 and still in great condition. Sailspar Spinnaker pole 2014, Mast head light and Vtronix vhf antenna fitted.SAILSMain (Rockall) Jib (kemp) 2001 Spinnaker older. A new Mainsail is available for an extra £400, only a year old.TRAILERCustom made road trailer, unbraked although used to have brakes fitted but I removed the callipers as they used to stick, could be refitted. New tyres 2012. With docking arms(so you can launch and recover the boat easily yourself and not have to pay yard fees) New bearings fitted in 2012 and are kept well greased. Tows well.NO ENGINE INCLUDED WITH BOAT(In use on my new boat).
