Description
Country/Region of Manufacture: United Kingdom

Welcome to this listing for my Shetland Family 4 and all of my boating items.I will not bore you in here as to why I am quiting the boaty lifestyle, if you are genuinely interested please do feel free to ask.The boat is a Family 4 Mk5 and I believe she is around 1992 and she is in good condition with her original gel coat. She has just been cleaned and so is looking her best. The boat comes with a brand new canopy purchased June 2016 from Nauti-Cover, it is the hard wearing fabric kind and it comes with the taps and spare fittings for making holes and adjustments to the cover, right now the cover is loose as the shock chords need replacing. I have new chord on the boat but so far have not had the time to replace it. Along with the cover I purchased a hatch cover for the front hatch as extra weather protection. This will fit with either press studs of thumb screws (your choice as I am sending the boat with both. There are some water stains on the wall carpet in the front of the cabin as when I bought the boat (beginning of 2013) the front window leaked, this has been resealed although if I am leaving the boat for many weeks unattended I do still cover her, as much as anything to keep off the bird pooh and the dirt. There is a 2 mtr marine antenna however the actual radio was stolen, it needs a new BNC plug (there is one in the bits box)
BSS until 10/04/2019 (Cert No 28607015) Mr Bullen in St IvesRiver licence (Great Ousr) March 2017Mooring paid until the end of November (20 Pence Marine, Cottenham) The Marina fees are around £550 annually and I believe can be paid quarterly.
The engine is a 2001/2002 Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke engine fully serviced last year including all of the leg cleaned with acid to remove the calcium build up that blocks the tel-tale. The impeller and the Anode were both replaced and the compression was checked and of course all of the usual replaceable items were changed. Also the wiring harness and both battery cables were changed the engine was refit with a high security bolt. As I am leaving boating I am sending all of my boaty items and the list here will be abridged and I really do recommend that you come and look for yourself.
Porta Loo (there are actually 2 you can choose which you prefer)Brand new Hummingbird GPS plotter/fishfinder, purchased as a replacement for a Garmen fishfinder, the wiring is in but the sonar can not be fitted until the boat is out of the water so for this year your have navigation but not depth under the keel.New fenders and anchor ballRiver anchor to rope, sea anchor to chain then rope (20 mtr of chain) 12V/Gas fridge needs fitting, bought last year but time prevented me doing this although there is a 12V slot you can use, I am sending the gar connector although I do not recommend gas on a small boat.A bits box, of course a bits box sending one with the boat is the law :)there are a couple of boxes on board you can keep/remove as you like.A windlass, lock keys, nice ropesA winter cover and a small Tarp to fend off pooh.River Ouse, out to the wash and local coastal marine charts, plotter dividers and the local tidal stream dataspare horn, compass, interior lights and spare bulbs1 Life Jacket (2 life jackets if I can find the other one)many books on maintenance of the engine the 12v bible etc.all of the course materials for coastal navigation plus the map exercise books The books I used to pass the marine radio Ofcom exam, exam is really easy and is mainly to ensure yu know what info to give when issuing a MayDay and what to do if you alone hear one.An engine trolley, you put the engine on it when it's not on the boat, which is way better than carrying it.I think that's all of it except for the few spares like plugs and the like.
Any Questions (I suspect serious bidders will have at least a few) please do call me on 07795285418.I reserve the right to remove this boat, payment via Paypal or better yet cashOne more thing my reasons for letting her go are time rather than money hence the starting price, but it you have any thoughts of showing up and bartering try another auction. In case it needs mentioning, no I will not post it :) the royal mail would have a fit :)
On 29-Jul-16 at 10:58:14 BST, seller added the following information:OK first question I forgot to add the dimensions, (que face palm) she is 18.8 ft by 6.6 ftAlso there is red Soho generator I used for shore power back we we used to go away it is only a 1kw one but is did the business, needs a new fuse before it will work but it is useful.
