I am the second owner, and the boat has spent nearly all it's life on the St. Lawrence River in Northern NY. Originally mahogany seats have been partially restored to their original wood stain (covered in gel coat by prior owner). Cable steering system completed replaced about five years ago, and steers without any issue. Whalers in general are excellent, long-lasting, low maintenance crafts that can handle rough conditions.Motor: A 1998, Mercury 40HP outboard, two stroke with recently reconditioned propeller. This motor is the maximum horsepower USCG rating for this boat, and provides great power, fuel economy, and cruising feel. I have never had any issues with the motor, except for an intermittent overheating issue after I first bought it that was corrected by replacing a faulty thermostat. Trailer is also included.
