Albin Vega 27 hull/sail number 2608, manufactured in Sweden in 1976/7. This yacht sailed to Bantry Bay, South West Ireland from North Wales in June, a video of this trip can be found on YouTube entitled :- Bantry bound in a ship well found (Vega 27). Another video was done of the boat prior to launch showing interior and exterior and the galvanized cradle which is included in the sale, search for 'Viva Las Albin Vegas Vega 27'. On return she had her fuel tank topped up (there still is about 15litres in a spare container) and also the exterior woodwork has since been totally redone back to bare wood and coated with International Woodskin. All items on the 'to do' list completed. (If you sail 400miles plus you are bound to have written one!), Included with this boat are:- Garmin GPS 126, DSC VHF, Stereo CD/radio, small craft folio of charts for North Wales and Irish Sea passage chart, ensign on pole, St Andrews flag, wine glasses, cutlery, crockery, pans etc, engine spares- belt impeller fuel filters etc, two fire extinguishers, fire blanket, life ring, carbon monoxide alarm, electric and manual bilge pump, 2x 110AH batteries New items this year:- NASA LED Tricolour/anchor light, VHF aerial, forestay, twin lower sections of backstay, spare halyard for inner forestay, 40 metres of 8mm galvanised anchor chain, new chain pipe too. Engine:- Beta 13.5 HP, 2004, estimate 800hrs, belt, anode, oil and filter done in May 2016 Sails:- fully battened mainsail very good, roller genoa good. Rotostay 1V furler, a removable inner forestay. Zip up mainsail bag with lazyjacks. Genoa UV strip around half life. She has an unpainted GRP hull and deck and coachroof, the only paint being the antifoul paint having been redone in May. The blue velour upholstery is new last year and as new now with a fresh smell (cost £500.) The boat is in Anglesey, the cradle at Dinas Boatyard on the Menai Straits, the yard is ideal for winter storage, they will welcome the new owner there. A 2012 survey values for insurance purposes at £12,500 and concludes: '... is an excellent example of a very popular and highly regarded medium cruiser. Structurally sound and in mainly original condition with only minor cosmetic faults.'
