NOT ONLY A BOAT BUT A HOLIDAY DESTINATION For sale /sail is my holiday boat/home for the last 8 years. After an extensive refit I sailed her from Falmouth to the Algarve. Here she sits on the tranquil Rio de Guadiana on the border between Spain and Portugal in the south. If you are looking for a summer getaway you cannot choose a more ideal spot. Summer all year .February being the coolest The boat is moored on her own anchorage 5 minutes from the village of Alcoutim on the Portuguese side and opposite San lunar on the Spanish side . There are restaurants ,Bars, music nights ,bakeries and mini supermarkets .Ferries cross the river linking both villages. San lucar is also host to a zip line from a height in Spain to land in Portugal,crossing the river ,the border and time zone. The boat has all the live aboard luxuries ,pressurized water system throughout including shower,solar charger,modern winches and new rigging .Sails have been serviced. Volvo Penta MD2 was overhauled before I launched in Teignmouth. A point of reassurance is that the engine can be easily started with her crank handle . powerful 90 amp Leece neville alternator installed recently If you are after your own summer getaway or thinking of living aboard or sailing away to further destinations. The choice is yours . This is an incredible opportunity to relocate or purchase your own residence in the sunny south where it would cost hundreds of thousand Euros if located on the banks of the river. As you can see from the pics many boats take up free residence here on either an anchor or mooring. Pontoons on either side of the river are 8 euros a night . And a good time to quick charge batteries and refill with drinking water. Generally most people take a dinghy to either side for shopping or going out in the evenings She is a beautiful sailing boat and a couple of days sail from the river will get you to Cadiz or Gibraltar and morocco This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity to set up a holiday home or sail any where in the world from one of the most idyllic places on earth .
