Bayliner 3.0 Capri 19 feet needing attentionIts with great regret im selling my Bayliner Capri but i cant get it to run.I bought the boat 2 years ago and it had just had the head gasket done it was starting off the button and selecting drive with no problems.The boat is fitted with a large camper top as seen in the pictures, the camper top is water tight and has had the front and rear windows replaced the side indows are discoloured so will need replacing at some point a cd player and a phone, it is also fitted with twin batteries.The boat was in need of some cosmetic work when i got it, and it want charging the batteries, so a reconditioned alternator was fitted and a new starter motor.Over the next few months the faded two tone blue was resprayed midnight blue, about 10feet of the rubbing strip on the port side was replaced and is slightly different from the original strip, but not really noticable unless pointed out.The tired cuddy cabin cushions were recovered in white leatherette and a new ignition switch fitted, but due to a family bereavement the boat then sat for about a year.Now it wont start, it almost goes but just wont start it also wont select drive im not sure if this is connected with the non starting or if it needs a cable.The engine is a 3 litre straight four with an OMC outdrive, the power tilt and steering both work fine. I dont think there is anything majorly wrong with the engine as it was working fine before being laid up but i dont want to spend any more money or time on the boat so im putting it up for sale and hopefully someone will be able to have some fun with it. The boat comes with an escort trailer which has had the brakes disconnected but tows very well the tyres have some age cracking on the sides but hold air and have good treads.If you have any questions please askThanks for taking the time to read my advert.
