Quality Fishing Machine! --Up for sale is my 28' Topaz Sportfish. She's a beautiful good running twin-inboard boat and hate to see her go, but I just bought another boat so this one has to go. The cockpit on these Topaz's are equivalent to some 34-36' sportfisher's in size which is originally why I bought it and they have great sea keeping ability with a wide 10' beam. These feel much larger than most 28' boats and are a pleasure to fish/ cruise in even in rougher seas! The older Topaz's are built like tanks and were built one at a time using very thick SOLID fiberglass with no coring. Its hard to find boats built with this quality any more in this day and age! This boat has had a lot of upgrades done to it over the last 8 years. In 2006 the boat had extensive upgrades done by Hines-Farley in Rescue, VA Over 15k worth of work done since then and I have all available receipts up to date. The engines are Mercruiser 351 fresh water cooled (220 hp each or 440 total) that run great & use no oil with approx 1660 hours. Boat cruises great at 20-22 knots and WOT is around 30 knots. The boat has nice electronics with 36 mile open-array Furuno Radar which is integrated and linked in with a Garmin GPS/ Chartplotter and Raymarine Auto Pilot w/ Hynautic hydraulic steering. The cabin including galley, berth and head with toilet/ macerator are all in great condition for a boat of this age! Boat has boat a fresh water tank and saltwater water wash down.
