Project, Eagle 1 Hovercraft, Not Running. I have been rebuilding over the last 3 years and with no time or space to finish. Comes with a R65 BMW motorbike engine, last used in a micro light. I bought the engine from e-bay for £350 it was modified for a microlight by Scriminger Engineering Developments of Sleaford, Lincolnshire, which I rang to confirm this at the time but I believe have now closed. I have fitted new K&N air filters, but I have never started or run the engine, The engine had done 90 hours ish from a complete rebuild according to the last seller, but I can't guarantee this. As the old propeller was used to start the microlight there was no starter motor so I bought a flywheel and starter motor from BMW motorworks and had this fitted but again I have not tested or turned the engine over, Sadly this is engineering beyond me! All the New parts came from K&M hovercraft products who also machined the pulley for this spec of the engine. New Fan, cone, top and bottom pulley, New belt never used. New fan and engine frame, New Skirt and fittings never used. I believe the engine has about 45 to 50 bhp and the fan is set up to give more lift than thrust. The exhaust from the mircro light is present but just too short. The engine mountings have brackets but need to modified slighlty to fit. No fuel tank. spare skirt segments. No Trailer.
