Very nice Classic Boston Whaler 17 Montauk. This is a freshwater boat that was Never in the ocean! The hull is in excellent condition and has never been bottom painted or left in the water. Nice clean hull with just a few small nicks and a couple gelcoat cracks in the corners, typical of older Whalers. Was originally a rescue boat and only used for training several times a year. The rest of the time it was on the trailer. Has the heavy duty "red dot" commercial hull with 50% more fiberglass layup than Whaler's recreational boats! Nice center console with reversible bench seat. Anchor locker in bow. 1999 Evinrude 48 hp outboard, starts easy and runs great. Only 50 hrs of use on the motor! Has power tilt and electric start. Recent water pump and a new tilt motor within the past year. Was originally a tiller motor, the Steering cables and lights need some attention. Boat will go around 30 mph and is rated for up to 7 people. Great boat for fishing in the River, lake or bay. Floats like a cork! Heavy duty aluminum bunk trailer with brand new wheels, tires and lights. Tows great and launches easy. Unsinkable hull and a very safe & stable boat! The heavier duty Red dot hulls in this condition and price range are very hard to find. |
