Marie Louise is a 28 ft cutter rigged yacht. Possibly built by Richards in Tasmania in the 1940s. Long keel and, I think, was originally gaff rigged. Tiller steering. The coachhouse was lifted in the 70s (?) to increase headroom and a cockpit installed. A teak deck was laid about then as well and the hull dynal sheathed. It has always been my intention to restore her but I'm heading overseas and can't keep her. She isn't suitable as a mooring minder and I'd really like to find a good home - hence the price. The hull is sound, I believe, as is the rigging and the sails are nearly new - tan coloured canvas. As you'll see from the photos she needs slipping and stripping and work to her superstructure - in particular there is a leak on deck which is a problem in heavy rain that needs sorting. The cockpit also needs restoration or removal. The engine is/was a Yanmar 1GM but needs rebuilding or replacement. The boat cover is well past its sell by date. Below deck are berths for 2, spirit stove, pump out lav and an icebox.
