Walker Bay Genesis 310 FTL RibIf you do not know what the Walker Bay Genesis is, please google them to check out the specs. At the time and still are, they were the premium non-console small rigid inflatable and won numerous awards. This model is still available at £2,350.00 (basic) They are American, so larger tubes (assuming larger passengers and pretty much impossible to invert) , drop tested virtually indestructable hulls (DuraLight) , with in built wheels for slip ways, very easy to plane ( even with a 5hp) with in built trim tabs, take chop well with deep V hull, removable floor and this one, the FTL (Folding Transom Light) has not surprisingly, a folding transom for easy storage and in our case to tow upside down on top of my 14ft sailing dinghy to France twice. All parts including tubes, hull etc are still available should the need arise. My Boat : The tubes are in very good condition, (as are the valves), does not lose air, no patches or scrapes, the hull has some scratches, but also has a replacable thick rubber strip (which is fine), designed when using the inbuilt wheels on a slip, the transom some flaking paint (again if keeping I would just repaint with hammerite, easily removable from tubes). It still has the repair kit it came with (patches, spare valve, pressure gauge) and the Pump is good. The folding Transom hinges and seals are good.I have owned this from new (7 years), first with a 5hp and the past 5 years with a 15hp 2 stroke, (20+ knots). A couple of friends borrowed it and did a 9 mile open sea return trip from Dartmouth to Brixham for some fish n chips ! It has been dry stored in a garage for 10 months of the year and with a cover on at Stoke Gabriel on the Dart for the Summer. It has had very little UV exposure. The 2 trailers are galvanised (paid £175 for them), I put the wooden blocks (removable) on the launch trailer to locate the boat more easily on launch and recovery. Very easy for one person to attach and detach the combi trailer for launching, generally I do not even get my feet wet. The bearings are fine on the road trailer (did a 200 mile round trip this w/e) wheels have some flaking paint, but good tread/tyres. It also has a new cover (£70) (2 months old, forgot to photo)The only reason I am selling is that my lovely ex RNLI 15hp outboard was stolen 3 weeks ago and am giving up my parking slot on the river Dart. One of the oars was also taken, but it comes with 2 brand new 2 piece ones. Open to offers, Cash on collection, we are just off the A303, near Yeovil SomersetTech Spec :
