Reluctantly it is time to put our little speedboat boat up for sale. We have a new baby and all things boat have had to take a back seat.The boat is a 14' 1970s Picton and has been excellent fun to own and zip around in! It is ready to take out and hit the water.Check out the boat in action in this video
The boat comes with a 30 hp Mariner outboard. The outboard is a great runner and as you can see from the pictures under the cowl it is in fantastic condition. It was an oil injected model originally but has been converted to use premix. It runs very well and starts easily and pumps through plenty of water. It has always been flushed through with fresh water after being used at sea to prevent salt damage. The prop is in great shape. It has had a new fuel filter and a 25 litre tank also there is a brand new battery included.The boat also comes with a bottle of marine 2 stroke oil, a spare 30 litre tank,paddles and a brand new quality fitted cover.The boat itself is in good condition for its age with a few marks here and there and has been resprayed at some stage in blue. The hull is clean and sound. There is electric start wired up to the dash with a kill cord for safety. Its worth noting that the motor can be pull started aswell.
The pitot speedometer is fully functional.I always intended to get some new seats for it as the previous owner had installed car seats as you can see in the pictures. They are looking a bit shabby and some nice new proper boat seats would do the boat wonders.The boat comes on the trailer. The wheel bearings were changed last year.There are some minor repairs required to the resin floor in the boat as can be seen in the pictures as there is some cracking of the gelcoat. This was a job I always intended to get around to but never did as it doesnt affect the boat being used on the water.As you can see from the pictures the wheels are rusted and in need of replacing
It is my intention to fit a pair of brand new wheels and tyres before collection to get the trailer ready to be towed away by the buyer.The boat is currently stored on a farm and our landlord has become a bit of a hoarder so please excuse the junk in the background.Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
