DESCRIPTION - Shell by G&J Reeves - Fitted out by Weltonfield Narrowboats Ltd - Length: 60ft 2ins (18.3m) - Style: Trad - Year of Registration: 2005 - Engine: Beta B43 Diesel - Berths: 2+2 - Registration No:CRT 511019 - CIN: GB WFNBB056K404-BSS - Certificate to 2017-RCD issued 2005 - Blackened April 2015 - New Anodes x8 April 2015 - Repainted December 2015 - New Boiler February 2016 - New Calorifier with Emersion Heater February 2016 - New Oak Flooring throughout fitted 2015 - New Button Fenders, Side Fenders & Porthole Bungs - Last Survey: October 2014 - GOLD LICENCE for 2016 - Mooring Available at Blackthorn Lake Marina - River Nene - Northamptonshire ‘C’ OF TRANQUILITY has proved to be a perfect live-aboard. Beautifully cosy in the cold months & able to stay cool through the hot. More than ample living space for two adults & a large dog to live in comfort (with a double bed conversion in the lounge for friends & family). We’ve not travelled all that far in her, but she is very responsive to the tiller with an engine that’s happy to ‘pootle’ or ‘full steam ahead’ as much as you like & very responsive in the locks. I’m a 6ft 2in chap who likes a solid pair toe-tecters on his feet (total 6ft 3in) & I stand with a good clearance throughout, so no sore heads. The layout is such that there are many places to pass so there are no ‘bottle-necks’ we’ve experienced in other layouts. There’s also ample storage for wardrobes to cover all weathers (she won the 2005 Cressy Award for best boat fit-out at the Preston Brook Rally). When you’re out on the waterways the engine quickly heats up the water, the centre cleats make mooring a breeze, the 120 gallon water tank & 53 gallon fuel tank mean staying ‘out’ is very possible without rations & the open living area makes for ideal ‘end-of-day’ relaxing space after hot showers. Lovely! Why are we selling? We have an opportunity to live abroad which will mean ‘C’ of Tranquility would be sitting idle for most, if not all the year. Much as we love her, this is impractical & the waste of a beautiful floating home. We have nearly two years of wonderful memories of our time with her, but now it’s time for someone else to create their own memories. You will be her third owner. ‘C’ of Tranquility was re-named & registered from Patience this year. No name is currently featured on her sides (we could never quite agree!), so this is an opportunity for you to put your own character onto her sides or to re-name again. If you would like it, there is a pontoon mooring available at Blackthorn Lake Marina with this sale along with a chance to rent a lock up too, (these costs are not included & negotiable with Blackthorn Marina separately).
