That's what its like owning this boat.This is an awesome boat. 1987 Valero with a 1998 EFI 200 Merc that purrs like a kitten and roars like a lion. Great interior. Hot foot pedal. Manual jack plate. This is good for 80mph with the four blade trophy prop. You also get a 19 pitch ski prop that will take to 55mph.You wont find a more dependable motor than this one. My wife and kids have no trouble driving this boat. The efi make all the difference. They hated the last boat with carbs.I have had this boat for 7 plus years and it has been great. My brother law after his first ride said," It's like I'm sitting in a sling shot." This is a yt hull meaning it is a kind of tunnel hull. Hydrostream guys know what I'm talking about. If you don't google it.The former owner had the transom replaced about ten years ago. He said it cost him $3500. This is common for hydrostreams with big power. This boat is rock solid.I keep the boat inside year round. The former owner did the same.
