1999 Macgregor 26X Fiberglass Sailboat Condition: Excellent This boat is moored at Fern Ridge Reservoir in Eugene, Oregon.
Fully loaded, lightly used fiberglass Macgregor 26X trailered sailboat can sleep up to six people. Sailing, camping, fishing or pulling a tube: THIS BOAT DOES IT ALL. Unlike most water-bound sailboats, the Macgregor can be easily trailered to any lake, river or ocean. Launch and be fully rigged for sailing in less than 30 minutes. After launching, drop the retractable keel and open a valve to fill the ballast tanks with 1500 pounds of water, giving the boat a self-righting ability and the performance of a conventional keel. All the control lines lead to the self-bailing cockpit, including the mast raising system, making this an easy boat for one person to handle. The water ballast can be drained while on the water or after trailing. Empty the ballast and the 50hp Honda motor can push the boat along at up to 20 MPH in water as shallow as 9-inches.
This boat will sleep an entire family on board in the two person forward V berth and the king size aft berth; the dining table also lowers to make a third bed. Has a kitchenette which includes sink, stove, refrigerator, and microwave. A complete galley and enclosed head with portable toilet in the full standing headroom cabin makes this an outstanding boat for extended stays on the water.
